Washington DC, Japan - Urging a desperate need to protec the cute from what he called "normies" and "tourists," US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced today that the United States would be imposing a 20% toll on all waifus being exported from Japan. "20% on Marin, 20% on Fern, and 20% on any other busty Japanese anime [sic] girl, stated Rubio to the press while holding a dakimakura depicting Rei Ayanami wearing a shredded plugsuit that barely covered her breasts. "We may actually bump it up to 30% for the real young ones Trump likes, such as Maid in Abyss's Rico or Kanna from Dragon Maid." The move comes as the Trump administration has announced it is increasing its focus on collecting underage women from around the world to meet Trump in private for what the administration is calling "Meat and Greets," including figurines and dakimakuras of fictional characters from video games, comics, and animes. Economists estimate that the toll could result in about $1.5 billion in additional revenues, with about 98% of the revenue coming from the parents of adult children who haven't left their homes in over a year.
