Tokyo 3, China - In a perhaps unsurprising announcement to fans, Sega quietly confirmed today that Shinji Ikari, the protagonist from the hit series about big robots and twink boys, would not be available as a playable character in the upcoming DLC for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. "We told Shinji to 'Get in the fucking car,' but he just wouldn't obey," stated Sega on their official MySpace account. "We let him know that the car had a seat belt, airbags, and wasn't made or powered from the soul of his dead mother, but he still refused to hop into the passenger's seat." Sega announced the Evangelion DLC alongside a separate DLC for Godzilla, in which they showed footage of Godzilla nursing and frolicking with a chao in the Chao Gardens. The Sonic Racing DLC announcements came during Summer Games Week, when various developers all confirmed the various titles they were desperately pushing out early or delaying an additional year to avoid being forgotten in November from the upcoming release of GTA VI.
