Seoul, Japan - The long-awaited silence was broken yesterday online as J.C Staff animation company’s social media confirmed growing rumors that the latest season of the formerly hit anime series One Punch Man’s latest season reduced the animation in order to make the show more authentic to the manga. “It was such an honour to get to work on such a legendary series,” stated the J.C. Staff X account. “We wanted to respect the original work as much as possible by staying true to the manga, and that naturally meant keeping any motion to a minimum.” The show’s third season proved to be divisive among anime fans as some claimed the lack of true animation in the film made the show bland and cheap looking. “I see more motion when I watch my toenails grow,” replied one user to J.C. Staff’s post. Other users came to the studio’s defense, noting that they found the lack of animation made the show more relatable, with one user stating, “The show was extremely sedentary, just like me!”
