Walmart, Japan - Standing at the front of the candy and snacks aisle, a Nintendo representative confirmed earlier today that to celebrate the Metroid franchise's 40th anniversary that the series was going to temporarily have metroid-shaped gummy snacks available for purchase. "Well Zelda got its own Nintendo Direct, and is also getting its own console and controller and playable ocarina as part of that series' 40th anniversary, so we wanted to make sure Metroid got something equally impressive," stated the representative. "Please note the candies will only be available at double the price and in black licorice flavor." The announcement came after two consecutive Nintendo Directs in which hotly desired titles were announced like the Ocarina of Time remake, Kirby and the World Beyond, and Bluey's Happy Snaps (Deluxe Edition) were confirmed to be in development. When asked about what was in store for Star Fox's upcoming 35th anniversary, the representative stated that Gamers^TM could look forward to another remake of Star Fox 64.
