Los Angeles, Japan - Sending shockwaves across the Inter-high championships, Japan's overseer of high school sports declared that Karasuno High School would face a $30 million dollar penalty for circumventing the league's salary cap when the school assisted Hinata Shouyou acquire cash through fraudulent endorsement campaigns. "There is ample evidence to believe that Hinata accepted four endorsement deals that were prepared by his high school, despite clear league rules that state schools are only allowed to help athletes cheat in academic fields," said an Inter-high representative before confirming that students were still allowed to accept bribes under the table so long as their schools did not directly assist them. "It doesn't even make sense, to be honest. Shouldn't kids his age be chasing waifus rather than piles of cash?" Released documents seem to show that Hinata accepted multiple endorsements from local maid cafes, as well as an endorsement from a pachinko parlor and the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea. Karasuno High School confirmed that with the fine the school would be shuttering it's math, science, and other academic departments in order to ensure they still had enough money to build a new soccer stadium on the taxpayer's dime.
